Miss Shay

Miss Shay recently purchased and moved into her new home just outside of Turtleford with her boyfriend Dustin and their fur babies (Benji, their puppy, and Marie, their cat). Miss Shay discovered her love of dance 22 years ago and has since trained and excelled in multiple disciplines such as ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, acro, lyrical, hip hop, pointe, and more. Shay is trained under the Royal Academy of Dance, Canadian Dance Teachers Association, and Al Gilbert syllabi’s, completing exams and eventually becoming a proud member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. Shay also has a passion for educating little minds, has her full certification in Early Childhood Education, and has specialized in the Montessori Philosophy. Shay’s hard work and dedication to her passion has resulted in many awards, scholarships, and accomplishments for both herself and her students. She truly found her home on the stage through experiences such as competing internationally, performing in Disney World, Vegas, and qualifying for, and placing, at Dance World Cup against participants from all over the world in both 2015 and 2016. The accomplishment she takes most pride in is shaping young dancers and seeing them thrive. This gave her the drive to open and operate her own studio, Dance Infinity, while in Alberta. She hopes her students walk out of her classes knowing they are loved, unique, extraordinary, and rare. She is overjoyed to be able to combine her enthusiasm of educating and passion for dance as an instructor at Imagine Dance Studio!

Miss Taryn

My love for dance began at the age of 3. I trained in ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, contemporary, etc., although my focus is on Ballet, Tap and Jazz.  Through my dance experiences I travelled to Florida to perform in a production, competed in competitions and festivals.  I completed examinations through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and Royal Academy of Dance and instructed many disciplines.
My post-secondary education consists of Accounting and Business Management that allowed me to successfully manage the family business.  I then took on a larger role at the dance studio working alongside the founder in day-to-day duties by supporting the parents and dancers prepare for future dance experiences.
Instructing dance has been a large part of my life from helping myself learn and grow with my students and sharing my knowledge with students ranging from ages 3 to adult.
The words “Thank You” cannot describe the gratitude I feel by becoming a part of the instructing team with the Imagine Dance family.

Miss Maddie

I was born and raised in Saskatoon, later moving to Delisle, Sk in my teen years! I started dance at the age of 5, in Saskatoon. I pretty much lived at the dance studio after school most nights of the week. Disciplines I enrolled in included jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and acro, with my absolute favourite being ballet. I danced competitively from the age of 6 to 16, later quitting to focus on high school sports for my senior year. Up until this year I was living in Delisle, with Covid changing my journey and bringing me here. Outside of dance, I have a passion for the hairstyling industry and making my clients feel beautiful. I live in town with my boyfriend Logan, along with our fur babies, Boots, Ash and Beaner. I’m so excited to be back in the studio continuing to dance and sharing my passion with the students.

Director: Marie

I am the studio director and a dedicated dance mom!  My husband mike and I have 5 children.  I danced when I was young, starting at age 4 then later at the Edmonton school of ballet in their academic program from grade 8-11. We then moved to North Battleford and that was where it all began for me when I met my husband in 2007. In 2010 we had our first daughter I was overjoyed and hoped that my lovely little girl would share my love for dance; long story short she does! When I saw the huge dreams in such a tiny heart I had to run with it. It is those dreams in her heart that eventually brought me here. After the dance school she was dancing in closed down I was looking for dance for her in a small town studio cause I love how they are run!  That led me to Turtleford. When I walked in these doors two years ago who would have known that this is what was to come.  I can’t wait to see all the little faces each year and get back to doing what I love: watching dance!
